Our First Lit Piece

October 03, 2023

The biggest of these is printing campaign collateral. And I’m thrilled that our first major piece (see below) is printed and being given to voters!

In this campaign, I'm going to offer you an inside view of politics. One you don't normally get. I’m doing this because:

  • I’m a naturally open person.
  • Behind the Wizard of Oz’s curtain, politics is often shrouded in mystery. Our democracy is healthier when we understand how it functions!
  • For some of you, this is the first campaign you donated to, so politics is new!
  • And for all of you, because you’re so crucial to this campaign’s success, I want you to be a deeper part of it.

I know we’re asking a lot of you in this campaign, particularly in funding it. In the long-term, the funding bolsters the issues we all care about that I’ll champion for San José

And more immediately, it’s crucial. Let me explain.

Like many of you who give to campaigns, I, too, have wondered, “How does my campaign donation get used?”

Good question! The most important expenses in a local campaign like this are “voter contact.” That means identifying and directly communicating our message with voters.

The biggest of these is printing campaign collateral. And I’m thrilled that our first major piece (see below) is printed and being given to voters!

This collateral is crucial because it might be the only information about our campaign some voters receive.

I poured over every detail to ensure it accurately represents our campaign.

Now, every time we knock on a door or go to an event, we can hand this out to voters.

So when you donate to our campaign, you’re literally enabling us to print hundreds of copies of this! And I promise you, our volunteers and I are working tirelessly to get this message out to voters.

Thank you for your early support and belief in our vision for Building Community in San Jose.
